During the last four years, The Ministry of Dance Education team has been hosting weekly dance and performance workshops for primary and secondary schools, tertiary programs, dance studios and multi-cultural community groups.
The intensive programs enable schools and groups to set and create a schedule that is catered individually and is based around their curriculum and needs of the students. It involves all things performance and dance in an unforgettable experience that aims to give them knowledge and understanding about the professional world of entertainment.
The workshops are filled with information giving students the ability to trial different dance styles, understand the history of dance, speak with industry professionals and gain an understanding of what it would feel like to be a professional dancer for the day.
The workshops are challenging, interactive and inspiring and on request a wonderful visit from Mr Jason Coleman himself ensure the students and participants are exposed to the highest level of industry professionals during their stay with us at our world class venue. It is through the knowledge we have within the industry and the support to educate these students - they are able to gain knowledge, skills and enjoy an experience they may not have been exposed to previously.
The joy a dance and performance session brings to individuals of every background is incredible; you can only imagine the difference an on-going performance project could promote within these young people.
