In this workshop you can become immersed in the aboriginal culture in fully interactive games, 360 videos and an animated film outlining some of the popular beliefs of aboriginal myths.

In Aboriginal culture there are many sacred stories that have been passed down the generations and are still told today.

Some say that when the world began, spirits rose up from the earth and took the forms of animals and people.

The spirits traveled the land and gave it shape: creating mountains and plains, lakes and rivers, ridges and rocks. Sometimes the sprits were said to become part of the land itself, abiding there for ever more.

Some tell of a giant rainbow serpent, the protector of the people, slithering across the land and leaving a rainbow in its trail.

Others speak of great fiery beasts raining down from the skies. Today, scientists believe that these stories provide valuable historical evidence for meteorites hitting the earth in ancient times.

There are stories about the Sun mother, opening her eyes and spreading rays of light and warmth across the land. It is said that everywhere she walked, plants and trees sprouted up and life took hold. When her job was done and the land was fertile, she returned to the sky to become the sun.
